No-one here really knows what this is about from what I can see. And as for the media …… No idea eitherI find it intriguing that it does not differentiate between flight crew and/or cabin crew.

Rape perhaps?Appears to have happened after a flight that arrived yesterday, and only being reported today, which makes me think something likely happened at a new year celebration last night. Family member being flown suggests non-minor injury or some form of sexual assault. Both would likely necessitate police involvement though.
Yes but there are humans and maybe victims involved.<redacted>
But also must have been something away from the aircraft, or after passengers disembarked, otherwise we’d have had first-hand reports?
Maybe we will hear some facts over the next few daysThey’ve only said after landing in Fiji. Do VA crew do the flight as a return trip or as an overnight? Did it happen at a layover hotel last night?

That is one thing the company does very well.I hope they get the right support from VA Management.
Well at least they didn't speculate so that's actually responsible journalism IMOhowever we have no details on what exactly went on except it’s pretty serious!”
Clubbing? I wouldn’t accept that at this stage of things, especially from the media.Do Airlines have policies in place in terms of what one can and cannot do while on a layover? I’d imagine if I went clubbing on a work layover I’d be in all sorts of strife.

Yes they try to sensationalise any matter these days. They often use capitals letters for breaking news and the colour red get used a bit. It’s all about ramping it up these days to get clicks to get revenue, with declining profits in the media, the behaviour in reporting will only get worse.Media sometimes uses the term ‘clubbing’ to imply sleaziness, which is rather unfortunate. But, hey, that’s just how I see it. We don’t all see things the same way.
