Seems airlines put price before dress standards. IMO thongs should be banned from all aircraft for safety reasons alone.

The filthy animal is also wearing Speedos - I mean, there can't possibly be shorts that short any more.

On a DRW flight to BNE one pax in J had not only thongs but tight rugger shorts and a tank top, was not a good sight as he put his rucksack in the overhead bin, his arm pit hair looked like a forest , yep QA should be real proud of their standards.

I did debate wearing shoes but it was a dilemma (or dilemna) of minor proportions. Wear long pants and my black work shoes needed for tomorrow. Me, long pants and Queensland is not good, besides it's Sunday. Otherwise, shorts and shoes, meaning carrying an extra set of shoes in carry on. Do-able but not preferred. So dress things it was, despite also feeling it was a safety issue.

No speedo, my shorts are skin colour.

And the irony was the "miner" in the window seat. Thongs! and one of those who pushes out into the aisle when the seatbelt sign is turned off.
