Good Evening Folks,

I'm hunting down a logbook for my little girl to have her flights written down in and possibly sent up to the coughpit to grab a signature from the Tech crew, something like the Jet Club books of old!

Has anybody seen anything about like this? I've only come across this so far

Thanks
Nate

Thanks Markis,

That's definitely the best that I've come across thus far!

Logbook for bear, too!

Thanks - I've got a lot of catching up to do for Routebear.

We nickname our bubba, Little Bear. I got a bit of a freak out when I read your first line!

How long has Routebear been travelling?

That's a fantastic idea. Mum made us one when we were little out of an exercise book. It was part of the annual visit to rellies that we dragged it out and asked the flight crew (in the early days only male stewards were permitted to fly the route) to fill it in. Some use to get quite excited to see they had already signed it. We use to get to sit up in the coughpit, cant do that now. I wish we had it still.

Since April 2006. He's been around the world eight times and several halves and thirds. Driven Route 66, shared every night shift in my cab for five years and posed in front of any number of landmarks. He was recently given - while I was sleeping - an American Airlines Junior logbook, and I thought I might fill in the rest of his travels.

First entry complete! I approached the CSM as we were awaiting 1 final passenger to board, he was only too happy to send it up front for us.

I unfortunately didn't finish filling it up with bubba's previous flights and only left dates for the last few, the entry got out on 31/01/2013 rather than 31/072103. I understand they look similar and that I should of filled the rest out. I'm appreciative that the the crew were happy to fill out the book at all :)

Another update.

Two sectors done in VA today and two awesome entries. The last one In particular. For a 55 minute sector the captain wrote a novel! It includes runways used, fuel burn, QNH, visibility and so on.

It's quickly becoming a treasured travel item

I thought our kids got something like in the Smiggle pack when we did QF15/16 earlier in the year... Ms 9yo has her bag hanging on bedroom door so I might check hers once she's nodded off...

Would it be wrong to buy one for yourself under the pretence of it being for your child?

Not at all!

I'm secretly enjoying getting it filled out! ( I think there are a lot if things I do now that are for my daughters benefit but that I enjoy more!)

Resurrecting an old thread, I'm considering doing the same... for myself.

On a few flights backwards and forwards recently I was asked if I wanted anything signed by the captain, after asking for an aircraft rego. It's perhaps time to move back to paper from my electronic record keeping, as I can't get pilot remarks on my phone, after all.

So despite the book you have, bass_ke, looking a little too child friendly, I'm thinking it's the best choice for me, especially as it's in stock, compared to the other one.

As long as you don't ask to sit on the pilot's knee you should be fine. ;)

Usually the pilot suggests I sit in his seat... after he moves out of it :)

This is a great idea. It's given me some good for thought. Thanks for the resurrection. :)
