flyby1,

Welcome to AFF. :D

Sorry if you have been offended. My intention was that if you included your flying habits, membership of flying alliances, frequency of work/leisure flying etc we could lead you into a few more posts & help you settle in.

Not offended in the least. I was meaning more that as I have read posts for so long now that I need to hone my skills with posting!

I fly regulary for work, mostly on Jetstar within Australia. I also do a couple of trips overseas each year for work (Europe and Asia). Member of QFF and Lufthansa's Miles and More.

Maybe you can help me now then, how do I post - can't find the tool? Only how to reply to threads.

My question is can I use the qantas lounge, say jfk, if on this occasion I am not flying qantas (I am a member).

Also because the lounge is expensive I wondered whether they offer guest passes anymore?

Basically, family in uk. Fly home for Xmas with qantas, the going to us on Hols, back to uk to droo them off and then back to aus with qantas. The bit in the middle -uk to us return- is not qantas.

Welcome to AFF Bradwyates!

When you say you are not flying Qantas then who are you flying?

As a Qantas Club member you need to be flying either Qantas, BA or Jetstar to visit a Qantas Lounge. You can also visit an AA lounge if flying AA and visit a BA lounge if fyling BA. More info here.

I believe you can purchase a yearly guest pass but not a once off guest Qantas Club pass.

Thanks John

I fly Qantas to and from uk and inside that aa to and from us. So I visit the aa lounge using the Qantas card?

When you say a once off guest pass ... What did you mean?

Don't feel alone in this, took me a year and a long thread (which I'm so grateful for) and am attaching at bottom for your reading.

This hopefully is the short.

Go to "Discussion Board"

As a Qantas Club member flying AA then you should have access to the Admirals Club.

When you say a once off guest pass ... What did you mean?
I was referring to a once off guest pass for Qantas Lounges which cannot be bought from Qantas but you may be able to get one off eBay or something similar.

But that is irrelevant to you. You can purchase a day pass to access Admirals Clubs. I believe the cost is USD50 for the day but that may have changed.
