Welcome to AFF Mistress.

Let me add my welcome Mistress - I am sure you will soon be powering towards Gold as well.

I wish Oatek! my better half is FIFO weekly, hence his gold status quite easily.. but his status gets us (family of 4) into lounges so that we can get the cheaper seats if we go jetstar and save a small fortune... e.g NZ return for just over $800 and we buy my partners ticket separately to get one bag and his status points. The cost really adds up when you have kids flying too! We get in fill the kids up with food in the lounge and on our way. if we went QF we look at $1300+ for that route, even though one flight is via bne the other via ool.

Though in the past 12 months what we have done and if i would of spent the $ on the flights to get the status credit i probably would be Gold with trips too Tokyo, Auckland X 2, Dallas Fort Worth/San Fran, Cairns (status run to keeps kids QF points)..

In the next 12 months were going to Auckland, Alice Springs, Perth, Dallas Fort Worth/New York! We pretty much do this on a budget and go for cheapest tickets such as BNE to NY for $3300 for 4 of us. We don't set a location where to go, we go via specials and times, as better half is week on week off, and i am on call for work 9/12 months a year!

Our kids have going through airports down pat, and think Qantas club is standard lol. We get how long til we get to qantas club when we walk into the airports now!

Welcome!

Your kids are lucky! I didn't even know lounges were a thing until I was around 26.
