I have only recently started to fly QF for business and will attain silver next week. I have a renewal date of 30 June 10 and if I understand things correctly I will remain silver until at least 30 June 11?

I have various flights to take (not booked) on QF earning 100SC between now and 30 June 2010 which I assume will expire as normal on that date and therefore not assist with requalification for next year? Is this the case or is the renewal date also extended?

Hi,

You will remain PS until at least 30/6/11.

Any SC's you have expire on the day of your renewal and you then start again and need to requalify each year to maintain your status. The date does not change.

Thanks for that ejb, think I might push some of my longer flights back to July to push for gold next year.

Unfortunately Qantas is very strict with the reassessment date. One exception is if you get partner gold then your partner's reassessment date will be changed to match your own reassessment date.

I have almost reached Platinum with still 2 months to go and the rest of the SC's for the flights booked to the end of May 2010 feel like they will be wasted. Not the end of the world and these will get me a little closer to Lifetime Gold.

If you can, you should put them off, unless of course you can get 700SC before June 30!
