First time WP - Entering the nervous 90's (to use a criecketing phrase)..

Thanks to a busy work schedule and the fortuidous timing of the DSC offer I find myself 90 SC short of WP (first time ever) with 2 trips booked (80SC earn) before my year ends on 31 August. SO the maths would leave me 10 SC short if nothing changes.That said it is very unlikely work won't send me somewhere in addition to my booked flights and I can easily jump onto a CBR-SYD red-deal to make it up so I'm probably ok.In my head I'm celebrating early but don't want to count my chickens, such a mixed bag of emotions for what in essence will amount to me getting a better class of museli in the morning.. my wife thinks I'm mad of course..

Wife might like a trip to Melborne via SYD using a JQ international flight and an experience of the F lounge to change the line of thinking

Exactly, count them twice just to be sure. Your wife will be very happy when she visits the F lounge and then the pressure will be on to retain WP.

It's hard for explain the obsession with SCs to those who are not regular FFs.

I remember my first overseas trip via Flounge. I told my missus we should arrive there 3 hours ahead to explore it. At first she thought I'm crazy but after a nice meal, two glasses of champagne & relaxing massage she was graceful enough to thank me... Since then she doesn't even bother to check out the DF anymore, it's straight to wonderland...

Well done vertisol, hope to be there myself with other half in tow by the end of August, was hoping for a DSC offer and did not want to risk waiting until August with all the changes so went and booked 2 x runs...family think we are crazy but I am sure it will be worth it in the long run.

Luckily I now have 2 flights booked before my re-qual date.

I've decided to share the last 10SC with my 2.5yr old son by grabbing a red-e-deal CBR-SYD in a couple of weeks time. This will also be his first QFF points earning flight.

This is all lost on his mother who will be meeting us at the other end with the car (her buy in cost me a weekend away in Sydney)..
