...to earn VA FF mileage and VA SC?
Apart from me choosing and flying JQ to earn under the opposition's FF system.
Anyone know?
EDIT: Sorry, went and followed some of the past advice from AFF, and found out that even Flexifare is class S.

The VA "status earn" is a bit of a scam when it comes to AirNZ. It is almost impossible to book one or to earn anything.... Wanting to travel domestically in NZ is only about the lounge access (which is I must say quite good).

The only option is to book VA codeshares as flexis - noting you can do stopovers so can split any regional flights. It just requires some work with the call centre but it can be done.

I have discovered where earning Y is all about.
NZ and VA will only give you domestic in NZ Y earn, when and if you book a full business from say, ADL or any other Aust capital city, to AKL and then to CHC.
In this case, from AKL to CHC, it will give you full Y.
This should be a sticky.
Scam indeed, a money gouging exercise.
I have not done the trick to see if SYD or MEL to AKL in Y, and then AKL to CHC will bring up a Y earn or not.
