Flight Centre have cheap business class airfare. Can anybody tell me who they are with. Can't see it on their web site, only contact your local Flight Centre outlet or use web page email.????

What route?

With FC it is always good to get all of the details in writing and then double check it is what you think it really is.

If it is FC offer it won't be good value for the paxs

Their BNE/SYD to LAX J cheepies are on Air Pacific using old equipment with basic IFE's. Maybe O.K. when they upgrade to A330's: Think the BNE to NRT is on Air New Guinea via POM, once again a base airline in terms of modern equipment.

Cheers,
Dee.

Be careful of FC? They are not the most knowledgeable sods in the business.

A well informed agent is priceless. They usually work for themselves or boutique firms.

Our cheap J class RTW through Flight Centre was a Lufthansa fare. Could choose range of carriers to Asia (we went SQ) then LH old J to FRA, onto FCO then VCE-FRA-MEX then open jaw to LAX and home LAX-MEL on QF A380. $7.5k including taxes. Obviously LH doesn't have the best J seats but we knew what we were getting. Our son turned 2 during the trip. He had no problem with LH J class!!

It is with Vietnam Airlines, and I have no intention of using FC. Went to them the last 2 years in a row. There cheapest flight J class to UK was $5398. Got a fare with RBA at $3795. When I asked about RBA and pushed the point to them, they replied they DO NOT SELL, and COULD NOT SELL, and WERE NOT ALLOWED TO sell Royal Brunei Airlines. I asked why I got a very cold shoulder look, along the lines of "go away I'm busy". Now those that know me from the Point Cook tour last month will know my work history, and this sort of thing does not go do to well with me, I spent a large amount of time dealing with very grumpy CPO's.
I will not deal with FC ,and I have been looking for a good TA, but they are very sort on the ground. I asked this question because I noticed that FC are advertising on this web site, and I was just wondering about FC's J class airfares.

I have nothing against FC, they are a very successful Australian international company.

Agree with all the negative feedback re FC.

They erroneously cancelled a pre-paid (and fully refundable) hotel booking under my name 18 months ago. After six months of escalating complaints, they finally told me that they wouldn't refund the funds.

A letter of demand sent by registered post did the trick; with a full refund and an apology. Never used them since.

I think it comes down to they wont sell if they dont earn commissions?

A very close friend of mine works for Flight Centre.

I only ever use him where I have found exactly what I want online and then he beats it. I would never dream of giving him a vague 'get me to Europe during this month for a good price' and expecting to get what I wanted.

Just dropped into a FC office in Syd which had a Sydney > Paris return for a very low price ... when i nudged which airline, it was one of the Chinese carriers (can't remember which - China Southern, Eastern, Western, Upside down, Hakuna Matata).

Though for someone on a tight budget that needs a J tix and has no points left, then it is still always better that sitting in a whY seat.

Would of been southern... Which offer a similar product to EK without the trimmings on its A380.

Or for about the same price on Aviance LifeMiles if you want to do the whole thing online.
