Hi all,

I'm flying from Adelaide to Brisbane on the 6th August and trying to work out which would be the best use of a J fare. My options are

DJ1405 @ 18:00 on a E190 or
DJ1407 @ 20:25 on 737-800

Now the way I look at it is the 737 is the better seat/plane but the E190 should have a dinner service.

Anyone had any experiences or could offer their 2c?

Thanks

Hmmm, i disagree. E190 is not a business class seat at the moment, whereas 738 is a big comfy J seat. I would personally go the 738 everytime if i had a choice (until VA upgrade the E jets to proper business).

Another E190 fan here. Two seats to yourself is a win. The recline on the 738 is a bit disappointing. As for which seat - a bit more leg room in Row 1 but I like to keep my hand luggage in easy reach, so tend to go for row 2.

Thanks for the replies, so next question .. which seat on the E190?

Thanks
I have found 1A to be fine on the E Jet but I have a preference for 1A on any aircraft 186 out 190 flights.

I think the dinner service would be a better experience even on an E190. Don't get me wrong, I really like the E190s so that helps as well. My preference for seating is row 1 D or F. In fact, I usually take 1F for DJ business because 1D is likely to be empty.

Sat in row 1 in the E190 and I'm 6ft1 and was roomy enough for the run across ADL-MEL, only thing I didnt like was that the middle armrest didnt raise. Dont know if the middle armrest will raise in row 2, if it did next time I'd sit there.....

Definitely the E190!

They are 100% my preferred plane. Yes, you are in a PE seat - but you get two.

Choose 1A (1C) will be blocked for you.
You'll get a full dinner service - much better attention due to max 4 pax - crew seem more attentive - plus while you eat, you can put your digEplayer on the 1C tray table.
