Hi. Just booked a flight , business, and the whole cost was paid using points. I thought there was always an out of pocket for taxes etc.
Am I wrong or is there a mistake with the booking.

One million points?

Was to New Zealand from Brisbane and 320,000 for 2 people
Last QF classic award economy flight I booked MEL CHC was 18,000 QF points plus $175. Business was 41,500. Retail cash fares were very high on all airlines.
So a Classic plus award for 160,000? Not the value I want from QF points. In my opinion those should be named "classic award minus" or "points plus cash" (which is what they are).
OOL - NZ may have QF Classic awards availability or better cash prices.

These QF oneworld (also incorrectly referred to as "Round the World") can be good value "oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread
