I booked an international flight with Qantas almost 3 weeks ago and paid with my credit card. For several days the credit card showed the ticket price as "pending" and then it just disappeared after a few days. I also did not receive an email with the e-ticket details.

However, when I login at the Qantas website I can see my booking and all the flight details. Has anyone else been in this situation?

Possibly gone to the manual handling queue (aka the far queue).

If concerned (and I would be after 3 weeks) best call QF to get it checked. It may be some minor issue like a tax calculation or something that has thrown things in a heap.

good luck!

Last time I tried to call there was a 2 hour wait. Will try to contact them when wait times get to a reasonable time.

This is a bad sign.
A detailed booking in the QF website is fine if it comes with a ticket number , but if not , it is indicative only and basically useless.
If the flights have not been ticketed , then the worry is that if other airlines are involved ( eg Qatar) your bookings will disappear quickly and maybe never recovered.

I don't see a ticket number. I can see a booking reference number and the passenger details

If it is to LA.. have you filled in the APIS information? sometimes they do not ticket if APIS is not filled....
(though when I have not finished that the system has sent an email in the past)

Correct, they need "Secure Flight Info", which is passport number and other details. It won't ticket until this information is in. Easily done online.

Thanks that clears things up for me. It does say APIS is required when I view my booking but it didn't say that it is required before a ticket can be issued. Just that it had to be provided at least 72 hours before the flight.

Anyway, I've done it online. Hopefully the ticket comes through soon.

yeah, looks like thats it.

You may still need to prod them on this even if you have filled in APIS.

As I noted above one time I did not fill in the APIS I received an email within 24 hours reminding me to and stating booking would not be ticketed until I did. That you've gone three weeks suggests something else is going on so I would still call QF (yes I know, phone wait.. but you may get lucky if you try at various times) rather than just wait and hope the system picks up the change and does the right thing. It may have gone to manual processing for other reasons other than APIS so still "stuck"

imo

I managed to not include my DOB and the ticket wasn't issued, although I did receive a reminder email. I filled in the missing info but I did have to prod them (after several days with nothing issued.)

I had exactly this a few weeks ago. Forgot to do the APIS.

It has been like this for some years.

Remembered three days later, brought up the booking, entered the stuff and the e-ticket arrived without further fuss within a couple of hours.
