Has anyone had the opportunity to take advantage of the Fly Ahead Benefit over the past few days.
Interested to know if there have been any changes to the process?
Previously I've had 100% success as long as seats were available, however not sure if this is the case anymore.

I don't think that Fly Ahead was ever dependant on the reservation system - so I'd expect that nothing has changed.

A question about Flying Ahead.

I plan to do this on the weekend with my partner (on same PNR) but will be arriving at the airport well before my partner. If I present both boarding passes at the Lounge will they move us if he is not there yet? Will they make me wait until we're both present before moving us?

Im worried if I wait until T-40 mins when he arrives at the airport there'll either be no seats left on the earlier flight or we'll be in 22E is something.

Not sure if they'll give you both boarding passes early - but I got 3F at T-40 on Saturday from SYD to MEL last week.

(No upgrade to Y though.)
