Fly Forward on Award Booking

Hi All

I have been enjoying fly forward on VA now that I am Platinum.

I was wondering what the directive is on and award booking in Y (or more appropriately X), do they have to fly me forward or is it discretionary?

Fly Ahead is available on all reward bookings (even to Golds).

Platinums need only beware of the Lite economy fare.

There's no 'have to' with Fly Ahead, it's a request, that may or may not be met. Having said that, it's only excluded from Economy Lite.
