Is this good, or should I wait for Air Asia or JQ to start offering something later for December out of oz?
With Emirates and SQ promo seats, its about time, but I think there will be BKK rtns for $800'ish for a while yet.

Considering that SQ and QF are offering SYD-SIN return for around $700, this $389 one way to KUL is not exactly the most competitive!
Of course if you need to be in KL rather than SIN, then maybe....

MALAYSIA AIRLINES

And although it is good of them, given the dates are open in the absolute peak period - I'll sit and wait.

Just booked KUL-MEL on Air Asia X for October.

Total cost (including seat selection) was MYR 435 = AUD 150 (approx).

Can't see why I'd pay another $200+ for such a short flight.
