Hi guys, I have some points with Flying Blue and I want to get them out of the airline and into some hotel program. I was forced to fly with the airline some time ago and going forward I do not want to maintain this account but at the same time do not want to lose the points. How can I get them out of FB and into something like Hilton or SPG or anywhere else more useful.

Basically, it's impossible. The program sucks! Next time credit to DL instead of AF or KL.

If you have 25K you can use them on Qantas for a domestic flight in Australia. Anything less and say goodbye to them (or look at whether there's any charity options).

Accordingly to this - InsideFlyer.com: Mileage Converter - there are only 6 airline programs around the world which will let you convert their miles out of their program (other than the ones you can convert at www.points.com), Aeromexico (which only converts to a Mexican hotel program), Air Canada Aeroplan, AA (for which you need a US Diners card), Hawaiian, Icelandair and Virgin Atlantic.
