Well I had my chance to try out lounge access flying 3K yesterday out of SIN with a guest since falling to Gold from Platinum.

Rather busy, but boarding passes checked and waved through, although the curt "We don't announce boarding. You have to watch that yourself." let me know I definitely wasn't flying QF.

Lounge wasn't so busy for 5.15PM, and the food on offer wasn't so great, but better than paying for a SGD8 sandwich onboard.

My biggest disappointment was warm beer!! Every can in the fridge must have only just been loaded up - can't they transfer from a storage fridge to customer fridge to ensure it's cold?

Overall, I'd give them a 7/10 - cold beer and soft drinks would have got them a 10.

Interesting, I got to the lounge about 6pm yesterday, and the Tiger Beers I had were cold, although not icily so.

You must have been there whilst I was still checking emails!! I pulled 2 out and both were warm, so gave up. Maybe I was unlucky - last time I was in the Business lounge they were fine, so possibly just the 1 off glitch.

Just happy I got access - last time I flew Gold it didn't exist!!

Perhaps I was using the other fridge to you - I was using the one down past the cubicle bays where the computers with printers are.

Hopefully the computers in that lounge will be in line for a refresh soon!

Thankfully I had my Mac with me; I noticed they were out of action and felt sorry for anyone who needed access and couldn't get on one of them.

Funnily enough I had a look around the lounge at one stage, and wondered if anyone else was an AFF member!:)
