Flying QF or VA to regional VIC and NSW

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone knows any tricks to get to airports such as Albury or Wagga (or nearby) from MEL using VA or QF for a price comparable to Rex?

I know that rex goes to wagga direct, but I'd like to earn some status credits.... Otherwise I'll just drive.

The only option is to fly via SYD, ABX on VA and WGA on QF.

I guess that confirms it. That's all I could find too.

The fares actually aren't that bad from Sydney. Just need to find a reason to position there first I guess.
