ok post and songs or music that relates to music, most likely in the lyrics, but i suppose "flying" related sounds are accepted.

Here's one to get started:

Seelenluft, "Manilla"

Here's another one, that starts with some audio "When approaching an airport, a pilot...." but the starting few seconds are the only connection to flying.

In January we toured Bruny Island and came upon this-

Very handy to transport. But I immediately thought of this song-
Susan Raye - L. A. International Airport + Lyrics - YouTube

Has some neat aircraft shots.
Or this version of historic interest-

Learning to fly :) Pink Floyd

Into the distance, a ribbon of black

Stretched to the point of no turning back
Flight of fancy on a windswept field
Standing alone, my senses reel
Fatal attraction that's holding me fast
Now, can't escape this irresistible grasp
Can't keep my eyes from the circling sky
Tongue-tied and twisted; just an earth-bound misfit, I
Ice is forming on the tips of my wings
Unheeded warnings, I thought I thought of everything
No navigator to find my way home
Unladen, empty, and turned to stone
A soul in tension that's learning to fly
Condition: grounded - determined to try
Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted; just an earth-bound misfit, I

Above the planet on a wing and a prayer,
My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air,
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly
Out of the corner of my watering eye
A dream unthreatened by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night
There's no sensation to compare with this
Suspended animation - a state of bliss
Can't keep my mind from the circling sky
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I

James Taylor - Fire and Rain, "Sweet dreams and flying machines.." yes morbid, but its a reference to the breakup of a former band called the "Flying Machine"

My son as a 2yr old rejoiced in "up down, up down, up down"...

Well fortunately the background music to this one is flying related so qualifies for this thread-633 squadron.
The videos though are for those wishing to remember their landings into Kai Tak and for those who missed out given an idea of what it was like.Even a shot of the Concorde.
Hong Kong Kai Tak Airport (1925 - 1998)

Not sure how to post videos but here's some

Frank Sinatra: Fly me to the moon
Randy Crawford: One Day I'll fly away
Nicki Minaj f/ Rihanna: Fly
Hilary Duff: Fly
Lenny Kravitz: Fly Away
Seal: Fly Like An Eagle
Westlife: Flying Without Wings
Pearl Jam :Given To Fly
Paul McCartney & Wings: Jet
Steve Miller Band: Jet Airliner
Peter Paul & Mary: Leaving On A Jet Plane

One of my favourites is Something for Kate - Captain (Million Miles an Hour)

Now Mella leaving on a jet plane was written by John Denver so here he is in an unlikely duet(for fans of the sixties)-
John Denver & Cass Elliot - Leaving On A Jet Plane - YouTube
But Peter,Paul and Mary did the remembered version-
Peter, Paul and Mary - Leaving on a Jet Plane. - YouTube
They did perform it with john denver-
Peter Paul and Mary, Leaving on a Jet Plane - YouTube
Then Mary did a version by herself at the Kingston trio reunion-
Mary Travers - Leaving on a Jet Plane - YouTube
I also like Old blue eyes version-
Frank SINATRA Leaving On A Jet Plane - YouTube
