I doubt it will be a problem, the cabin is very spread out you should be able to use the opposite bins if the ones above are not big enough.
And being SQ you can expect assistance in stowing it. So if it isn't stowed immediately one or two of the cabin crew will be along to assist. They will also redeliver it to you after touchdown.Where are you supposed to store your carry on ?

Thank you all so much for replying.
Answers all my questions.
Appreciated.
Just curious, but how do you compare SQ and QF Business class on the A380 ?
First time I have flown Business on the A380 with SQ so was interested to learn if there is any difference with those extra wide seats.
cheers

When the seat is in the lie flat bed position, the mattress isn't super soft. I also find that at 186cms tall, I am at the extreme ends of the sleeping space. I prefer to get a seat that is on the bulk head which gives a few extra precious cms. However many people find the seats too wide to get comfortable and too hard. I can see the point, and I've never flown to QF A380 to compare.

I flew the all J upper in November last year, I didn't notice any difference on the mattress. To be honest, it's more of an initial, OK, this is how it feels and then next few moments the vodka takes hold and I sleep for the rest of the day.Echo the bulkhead and softness comments. I am told the newer model A380s (with whole upper deck configured with business class) have a softer mattress protector, but haven't had the chance to fly on one of these (and for that matter nor am I likely to).
I did find the position of the tv annoying - it was quite a distance and I had to juggle reading glasses off/on. Not comfy. ..... TV was closer. I'm not imagining this, am I? .....
