Hi all,

This is my first post so please go easy on me.

I have been searching through the forum looking for advice regarding the Business, Premium Economy and Economy configuration that will be in use when I am travelling next year (may already be in use).

I will be flying economy on QF21 and QF22 with my girlfriend and would like some advice on the best seats to select. I am considering the two seats at the rear of the aircraft or three seats around rows 38-50 hoping we get a row of three with an empty seat and we can lift the arm rests so one of us can lie down. I currently have the option of selecting rows 38 or 39, however I'm assuming the third seat will get filled and the arm rests may be fixed.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Sam

P.S. The new configuration doesn't seem to be available on seat guru?

Welcome to AFF, I would just go for one of the two down the back, the new config is too new (there is only one aircraft completed). If you dont mind the extra noise, the two seats do make it a bit more intimate as well as giving you more storage space.

Qantas Source actually have posted some info:

Very timely question, as I'm on the QF21 out of SYD next month. Thanks for the info markis10.

I'll report back if no-one has a chance before then, and try to give my impressions of the upgraded layout as well as any seat feedback I can.

The two up the back is the way to go. Trying to get 3 seats for two is risky (never pays off for me, someone always end up in the middle, then you have to offer the aisle and end up in the middle yourself).

Hi Sam & welcome. Are you up to speed with the priority for seat allocation.

Thank you for your help guys. I am still torn between the safety of selecting the 2 seats at the back and trying my luck for a spare seat in a row of three.

Blu; No I'm not to sure about the priority allocation. Is there somewhere I can read up on this?
