Anyone else get this?

We've put 1,000 points in your account

We notice you haven’t earned Qantas Frequent Flyer points for a while so we’d like to credit your account with an extra 1,000 points. We hope this will help you towards your next reward.

No, but I signed up a work collegue while in DRW last week who was traveling QF home as I could not see the points going to waste and noted they got a 1000 point first flight bonus.

I actually got 2000 "reactivation bonus" points :!:

Hello Nigel

We notice you haven’t earned Qantas Frequent Flyer points for a while so we’d like to credit your account with an extra 2,000 points. We hope this will help you towards your next reward.

There's a wide range of rewards for under 10,000 points, so that's a nice head start.

It's easy to keep earning – when you shop, eat out, pay your bills and more – so you can grow that 2,000 points in no time.

Then choose your rewards. Use your points for gift cards from your favourite retailers and all kinds of products in the online Qantas Frequent Flyer Store, from iPods to plasma TVs.

If you love to travel, you can use your points for Award flights with Qantas and Jetstar to destinations around the world. You can also pay less money for flights by redeeming points when making a flight booking with Qantas using Points + Pay#.

I don't think I would survive if my QF account was inactive for that length of time.

I seem to have some sort of points activity at least once a week....

Might be asking the wrong group :)

I suppose there are more DJ flyers on this forum every month as QF enhances their program

v8Statesman and Nigelinoz, just wondering how long "a while" might have been in your respective cases?

It is my Fathers' account and it has been idle for 3.1 years. (Just lost 1,100 points last month due to inactivity)

And then QF almost gave your father all his points back. :)

That was the _very_ first thing that went through my mind when the email came through.

GST.

We only just gave our daughters some EDR points last week after about 6 months. (they are highly competitive and didn't like that mum and dad had vastly more points). Maybe a slim chance but that probably blew their chance of getting this bonus.

Seems weird that in my case it's only been a few months of inactivity and I get 2000 points but in V8Statesmans case it's a few years and he only gets 1000,I would have thought that it would be the other way around.:?:

Family transfer? :-)

Well yes, but I took their points to get my J seat to Europe. ;) Oh and grandma got some as well. They were more accepting of grandma taking points than dad.

But the kids have their own EDR card and SWMBO alternates the swiping of them for the weekly shopping. Just that we've had a few offers recently and the kids haven't.

I got a reminder on how to use my Everyday Rewards card, as I hadn't used it recently
