Enjoy 3GB of free global data roaming for 15 days with access to Flexiroam’s global data network of over 580 telcos in 150+ countries. You also get 15% discount on any extra data purchased with your 28° Mastercard credit card

Has anyone used this benefit before? Is it reliable?

Yes. Flexiroam is generally very reliable. It’s my default eSIM provider thanks also to the ongoing 15% to 20% MC discount on plans for purchase (Country, Regional and Global).

The freebie plan can be ordered in advance, installed and then “activated” when it’s needed. It’s a “Global” plan but just double check included countries.

I used a freebie one for the first time last year. A “bank error” in my favour had it run for about 20 days (probably until the 3GB was used up). SYD+1 activated the same plan at the same time and got 15Ds (and didn’t use all the data).

There’s some discussion here:

I haven’t used the freebie this year - probably over Christmas / New Year. When I might get 2x 3GB / 15d free (since it’s once per calendar year). 😁

I thought there was a dedicated thread but can’t find it. Maybe it has just popped up from time to time in the eSIM thread.

Their was some discussion about it inthe 28 Degrees thread the other day. We are currently waiting to receive the sim card and will use it in Fiji in a couple of weeks. You can get an eSim if your phone supports it.

How does a current user order this, please? I started in 2023, so I guess an entitled to one for this year. My eSim is FRX Global eSim

Just click on “Check eligibility” button next to the Mastercard banner to start the process.

If you’re travelling soon request one and report back but I would expect it’ll just load as a “Global” plan on your existing installed eSIM. It’ll appear in “View my Plans” / “Active / Upcoming”. You then “Activate” once you OS (airport wifi should suffice).

I have an active Global plan until Sep, so won’t be getting another much before then - unless there’s a cracking promo.
