Just signed up, status showing as gold. :)

Many thanks.

I would, but I am already A|Club Platinum. Company policy only allows us to stay at Novotel Hotels (where available).

Sorry what Mr WP+PG+LTG?

Pfffft, I value A|Club Platinum about as much as a hotel pen. :p

LOL. Now you have me thinking. Should I hide my A|Club Gold Card behind my Woolworths EDR Mastercard? :p

I'll be humiliated if I fail he WP1 criteria!:p

You know you don't receive your A|Club Gold card until you stay a night at an Accor hotel.

Lol, Being an "earned" gold with A-Club ... I value it somewhere around the value of the piece of paper your hotel pen is resting on.

A serious note though - This promo seems to be related to Singapore based Amex cards. Keep that in mind if you sign up, it could be removed at any time.

Obviously you aren't familiar with the trick novotel have with their pens. They'll only fill the pens with enough ink to last 2 or 3 days of taking brief notes. The 2 pages of paper they give you is much more valuable.

Do you often get your upgrades?

I find my A-Club membership as useful as heather McCartney joining a tap dance lesson.

I get good rooms generally (ie "A-Club" type floors, or top floors etc, but the rooms aren't really that different from the originally booked room), There is no real recognition in the scheme, and some hotels don't even participate (eg Sofitel Brisbane).

Hmmm.

I was thinking it might be good to use for BNE for the November dinner...??

You do get an extra 75% on points earn - bringing it to upto 3½ points per €.

That converts to QFF at "4000 A|Club points = 4000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points"

Am I missing something or does that seem pretty good? :?::)

Direct credit is often 3 points per AUD, but when those options don't exist or are booked out or just priced for the rich then Accor is not a bad alternative.

Thanks for the link will now book a few nights in Singapore, prices half what Hilton wants to charge me.
