Hmmm ... Say a AU$165 stay. Take $15 GST off the to give $150 - that's about €107 so earns ~400 points.

Direct credit is often 3 points per AUD, but when those options don't exist or are booked out or just priced for the rich then Accor is not a bad alternative.

Thanks guys. The one to one conversion with QF had me excited......of course my rather poor mathematical skills hadn't taken the earn rate into account. It is hard being of limited intellect!! :)

As you say markis10 it is not a bad alternative. :) I'm looking for an alternative to the Holiday Inn in Wolverhampton and The Novotel is not too bad there.

It took a month but I finally received confirmation of my merged accounts. Only worry so far is that my bookings on my initial account (8 nights at multiple hotels) aren't attached to my gold account. I spoke to the accor reservations team yesterday, and they assured me they were will confirmed bookings, but to check my card again in a week or so.

If only I could backdate the points from the 15-20 or so nights I've stayed at Accor hotels this year though :(
I stay in the same Mercure hotel 2-4 nights a month and when I asked the receptionist about the A Club and QFF points months ago, they said I wouldn't be eligible because I don't personally pay for the accommodation!
When I rang up they told me otherwise :D
The 75% bonus from now on will make up for it I guess.

Curiouser and Curiouser...
I have had money refunded to my credit card the exact amount of a booking on my gold card - which is still there... though the ones from my entry level are not - though they are still active bookings (when I search on booking reference).
I foresee another long and painful lunch break on the phone to Accor.
 
I signed up for this promo a month ago (thanks foreigner!) just before a stay in Mel for work.

Switched from the lovely IC Rialto to Novotel to test this promo out. Upon checkin I showed my humble B&W printout of my gold Aclub card and asked for this to be added to my account. After a few moments check-in agent told me I was upgraded to their premier king room :).
 
I did my first Gold stay on the weekend.
Two level upgrade - awesome room! Staff falling over themselves to assist me.
So nice.

Did you send the message about the missing points on the accor webpage? I got my points added that day for my missing Adelaide points
 
I looked at the sign up information.

They ask for a company name. Do you have to have your own company? Or work for a private company? I work for the state government, so not elligible?
 
Just a heads up in case anyone else gets stung/screwed by the same thing.

I stayed at the Ibis last week - but booked through Hotel Club to earn the Velocity points. When my A-Club points hadn't posted i lodged a request this morning for the stay. Surprisingly i had a reply email with-in about 25 minutes which is amazing to start with, unfortunately it wasn't a positive response.
