Hi all, I'd like to get some feedback as to the best credit card to use to accrue points with Singspore airlines Krisflyer.

Regards

Gary Cowen

How many points per year are you thinking of making and how much are you thinking about spending?
The clear winner for large spenders can be Citi Select on Visa and a Westpac Platinum Kris Flyer Amex or a Westpac Platinum Altitude Amex or finally a Citi Business Visa set for Kris points. Each of these cards has certain issues so that is why I posed the question.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I'm looking at the Citi signature which is a little cheaper than the Select card.

I will also have a look at Citi business Visa, I'm set with the Amex cards.

Do you know if Wespac have a Visa /Mastercard Krisflyer type card?

Thanks very much

Gary

Yes. See this thread: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....ac-singapore-krisflyer-credit-card-17536.html

NB: The earn rates have changed since the OP. Current rates for Platinum cards:
1.5x for AmEx
0.5x for Visa (in AU)
1.5x for Visa (outside AU)

Double miles for spend on SingaporeAir.com in AUD (also with an AU merchant code only).

FWIW I don't pay an annual fee on this card, although I do have some other business with WBC.

The AmEx is a good earner at 1.5x uncapped, and 3x on SQ flights (ex AU).
The Visa is useless IMHO - merchant fees chew up any benefit of the extra earn rate overseas, and AU earn rate is cough. I don't have it in my wallet(s).

Yes avoid Westpac Visa use as you only get 0.5 kris points per dollar.
Citi has two cards that earn better that I know of which is Business Gold to Kris at 0.83 and Select at 1.33 to Kris.
