Fuel surcharge on award flights

I'm starting to plan a trip to South America next year and wondering how much the fuel surcharge is for a short internal flight like SCL-EZE. Is it the same as the operating carrier would charge (in this case US$25) or do QF charge something more extortionate?

Depends on what LA charges. Last partner award I did on QF miles had no fuel surcharge since the operating airline did not charge fuel surcharge.

The LAN website has details on the fuel surcharge implemented by LAN. If the link doesn't work .... go to the LAN homepage set the language as English and you'll see the link "LAN Airlines implements fuel surcharge" towards the bottom of the page in the centre.
