For those that can make it to the Gold Coast on Thursday 23rd April, we have a venue: The Courthouse Hotel.

Aiming to be there at 7.

I'm at Sanctuary Cove for a conference in April with Thursday 23th free if that date suits anyone else

What is the public transport like from there up to BNE? I am guessing it would be a bit far for a taxi? I will have a hire car but I'm not real keen on driving somewhere to "drink"

You could drive to the train, then limit your drinks, that's what I usually do.

Whatever date is decided I will try to get there.

See if we can stay from places with loud music. And mid April would suit me best.

Agree, a quieter venue would be appreciated so I can at least hear myself think... but I do enjoy the music on St Paddy's Day!

The bar we attended in January wasn't too bad, the Transcontinental Hotel, opposite Roma St.

I am away from Brisbane from Friday 10 April to 20 April. 22-23 April could work for me

Potentially yes, especially since I missed Tuesday night, but I will doubtless be a Father by then, so approval for such drinks is only likely to be granted on the day. Silver for now, whatever the date is.

I'm in for BNE drinks.
The epiQure event looks like a proper place to catch up, I'll probably go there anyway.

I'm not sure if $75 is a little too much for me though, was just noting it was on the same night

Could perhaps have 2 groups, those that go to the event, and those that go to a pub, then the 2 groups meet up afterwards at the pub anyway

Oh and Bundy Bear my flight on 10 April is at 6:25pm so should able guest you into Business lounge for your 6:00pm flight. We'll be looking at getting there ~5:00pm.
