Hi All

I'm 25 and I live in Brisbane - although my life is somewhat more nomadic and I'd say Sydney is more commonly my home :-|

Been lurking around here for years, but decided it was time to join so I could take advantage of all your wisdom and get some questions answered :D
I've spent the past 4 years travelling every week for work from BNE to either SYD, MEL or CBR with QF and I've certainly got plenty of good and bad stories to tell!

I travel to the US quite a lot to see family but have never actually flown QF outside Oz. When it's on my own pocket I tend to go the cheapest option! Have had plenty of fun flying SWA internally in the US over the years  And some interesting times on Korean Air lol

It looks like my traveling days with work are coming to an end, so I'm looking to take advantage of my WP status and all my accumulated points before they disappear. Although I should make lifetime SG before then hopefully.

Welcome to AFF grimace.

The travelling is not as glamorous as some people think. I have been commuting SYD-BNE for the past 3 years and the time has come to return home....

You got that right, although most of my pain is caused by hotels, the flying part is usually ok (unless it's Friday afternoon or Monday morning when for some reason Sydney airport falls apart)!

I have lived in a hotel for the past 3 years and it is not so bad although it is more like a private apartment in a hotel.

My biggest issues are I can never settle and relax and by the time I arrive I need to leave again.

The commuting does take it toll as well. On Friday afternoon from the time I leave work ~4:00pm I am not home until ~10:00pm if not later. And then on Sunday returning back to Brisbane it is ~4:00-6:00 hours door to door. Not fun at all although the QFF points will come in handy on 2-3 Oneworld awards in the next few years.

Make sure you give us , that live here in Brisbane , a bit of notice.
I will let you know as soon as I know.
