G'day everyone,

Been lurking here for a reasonable amount of time, massive aviation/travel geek and now that I'm working in a proper job I've started to get into the points/rewards world.

I travel about once or twice a month for work, mainly within the east coast triangle of SYD-BNE-MEL on VA and usually a longer trip (UK, US or Asia) which I try to keep in the Velocity network. Inching towards Platinum and should hopefully get there by August!!

Picked up some very handy hints and tricks already, and I'm looking forward to being part of the discussion on here :)

HI Lord_Lenny enjoy the website and it will enjoy you back!

Hi there Lord_Lenny, welcome to the flying aristocracy.

Matt

Hi,
I'm new as well.
I need to get my 250 status points for Silver QFF before end of September. Just starting to look at options and have registered for the double points but need to book tonight.
We flew to Hawaii but used points. Probably not smart.
My Question is if I fly with Qantas and the Ticket is booked and paid by company my travel department do I get Status Credits on eligible fares if my QFF Number is on the ticket?

Cheers.

Hi and welcome. If you're based on Sydney a relatively easy way for a few SCs is Cairns or Tassie, $600 should get you about 80 SC.

Yes you can get you company paid SC, just phone up QF yourself and let them know your flight details and they will link it; or keep your boarding passes and claim on line after the flight.

Thanks Matt.
I didn't understand that before.
My nearest airport is Wagga Wagga so I think I could get 20SC each way to Sydney as well.

You'll only get 20SC if you buy a flexi fare, a red-e-deal will get you 10.
