Is this why bowel cancer takes so long to diagnose? Are there some doctors who think the problem is something else to do with the stomach or bowel and don't look for bowel cancer until they've ruled everything else out.
My father died from bowel cancer, even though the doctors claimed they had removed all the cancer in one operation. It took months of bowel pain and stomach upsets before he was diagnosed with bowel cancer. If they'd checked earlier, my belief is that he would have had a higher chance of surviving.
