Hi Everyone

Just curious.

I have some flights to book for friends and family coming up in November, SYD/BNE-LHR. The flight have been sitting up at about $2000 on bestflights for a few weeks now and it would be good if this was lower.

A question I have is generally, how much cheaper would the fares be that are found here by a "Flight Search Assistance" helper? (Compared to whats found on bestflights for example)? Would I be saving $100 max a airfare or are the savings more impressive?

Thanks

Try Flightfox (google it). Depends on routing etc but you can make big savings. You have to pay a small fee though.

What's the route?

I believe the benefit of this forum is the experience of others in finding tricky ways to do things. For example, due to my work, I am an expert in fares between east coast Australia and some places in Sth America. Have learnt tricks over the years that save me thousands each month. But I couldnt help you BNE-LHR.

What I am trying to say is that this is not a place to save a ¨$100¨ on a specific fare, but rather it is somewhere you will find people who come up with a whole new scenario on how to do things cheaper or better.

And more importantly, the people on here have a passion. It often takes me hours if not days to tweak a fare to perfection. No travel agent will do that for you. Most (if not all) the advice you will get through here is from people who just do it for the fun, the intellectual challenge of their chosen hobby. It is the cheapest and best professional advice you will get anywhere, in any field!!
