Finally made Gold today after 7 weeks of waiting for JQ flights to post!

I depart for USA on 29th June and will be out of the country for 6 weeks on business going all over USA and having a couple trips to Hong Kong from USA as well all on business.

I am curious as my Silver pack took 6 weeks to come, if there is a way to getthe Gold Card Expressed (for a fee even, i know Qantas love them!) ? I dont care for the tags if theres still a hold up on them, just want the card for the oneworld benefits.

Anyone had experience with this?
Cheers!

Ben, no need to have the card if it hasn't arrived by then (fwiw my Gold pack took around 2 weeks from memory), just take a printout showing your current status and that should suffice in terms of lounge entry for AA.

They can express post a QP card, but I'd think that might be a different division, so there's only one way to find out and that's to ask. Let us know how you go.

I have never been asked for my QFF Gold card. Your boarding pass gets printed with "Oneworld Sapphire" and that is what lets you in to the lounge.

When queuing at business class check-in for non-QF flights, if I am asked why I am there by airport security, I just say I am travelling business class. When I get to the front and check in, and the check in agent sees I am OW Sapphire and all is OK.

I don't think you need to worry about your QFF Gold card. Print out the QFF page stating you are Gold, just in case.

Gave them a call they said it will take 14 working days which is too slow! But was able to pay $35 for a courier. brilliant!

I am travelling on a group ticket LAX -Toronto and have got my eticket. However i see the travel agent did not put my freq flyer number on it for QFF.

Should i be contacting AA to add my freq flyer number? Will they need that for me to use Gold QFF privlidges/ credit points for the flight on AA or will just showing my card work at checkin?
