Getting money back for CC fee (at least with ANZ)

Not sure if it's been posted before.

I had a ANZ FF Platinum Visa (Annual fee $295ish).. As I've moved O/S, no point having the card any more. .

If you cancel the card, you get no money back

But if you change cards to an ANZ First (it's the cheapest @ $30pa), they will pro-rata the money back... that way I get most of my annual fee back from the Platinum card..

Hmmm, woud have thought they would give you back the fee pro rata, i know Westpac did with a card i took out from them...
