Bah, staying at Lungarno property now in Florence and only just read this thread. I wonder if they will retrospectively honour the status offer. Not a biggie if not, hardly any decent benefits as Platinum - much like PC Plat.

Just FYI, I am comp Platinum through Amex and stayed two nights at Parkroyal last week and was not upgraded to Black. I queried and was told I was ineligible due to the comp Platinum.
