Is there any way to gift the electronic version of the DJ lounge pass? I've got 2 of these, soon to be 4 which I doubt I'll ever use. Any way for me to pass these on to friends and family?

I've asked Virgin in the past about this, unfortunately it can't be done.

You can use them to bring additional guests into the lounge, but not give them to someone else to use.

Just want to note that the silver passes now have a 6 month expiry up from the previous 3.

Should be 12 months. Another example of VA having a good idea, but only half baking it!

I think the idea is to get you to fly again sooner rather than later. It depends which angle you look at it from - yours or theirs.

I always look at benefits from my angle, not theirs! I hardly think a lounge pass would make someone fly for no reason. For the airfare, one could book a really enjoyable restaurant for lunch, rather than have a wine and toasted sandwich at the lounge. Silver may have been accrued by one overseas trip...which only occurs once a year. Surely it's not too much to ask for a 12 month validity?

I tend to agree. While I understand the point swanning_it was making, surely it's reasonable to expect a Silver (frequent flyer) member to fly within 6 months of achieving status... Although that's slightly different if they're a paid Lounge member. It is reasonable that in that circumstance the member may not want an extra guest until 'month 8' of being Silver

Yes, indeed. What if one flys relatively regularly, but not in Y class? Would have been nice to send the lounge passes on to a friend who might, as a result, then become a new and loyal DJ customer?
