The Global Corporate Challenge (GCC) is a walking competition that encourages good health and exercise through walking and other physical activity.
This year, the traditional pedometer has been replaced with the Pulse device, which basically is a proxy device superseding the pedometer that attempts to account for any physical activity.
You can find out about GCC in 2012 here: http://www.australianfrequentflyer..../global-corporate-challenge-2012-a-37387.html
The participants in last year's GCC comprised two teams:
The GCC 2013 starts 23 May this year.
You can read more about the Global Corporate Challenge here: https://www.gettheworldmoving.com/
Teams consist of 7 members - no more, no less. Individual members can't register without being in a team. The cost of registration is $97.90 inc GST per person, which must be paid to the GCC as a team, not as individuals.
turtlemichael has been gracious to be the AFF Team Manager last year. I was slated to reprise this role this year, however due to work and study commitments, I've opted to bow out of both the Team Manager role as well as the GCC altogether. However, my last role before I bow out completely is to find the new Team Manager.
Therefore, we need someone to be the Team Manager for AFF. With less than 10 weeks until the start of the GCC, we need someone to step up to the plate fast, pull in those who are interested, organise teams, liaise with the GCC, coordinate payments, and more.... but really, above all else, be a willing, enthusiastic and encouraging member of the team who will lead the rest of the AFF contingent through the GCC.
For those who have participated last year - you have an email.
If you are interested in leading the AFF GCC 2013 contingent this year, please front up on this thread, or send me an email (for those who have done the GCC with me before - you know how to get to me!).
For everyone else - if you're interested in joining the AFF GCC team, feel free to make your interest known in this thread!
