Hey Guys

Just want to gather some thoughts.

I'm two months into my FF year and I've got 1005sc's... I'll very easily retain PT again. I have major travel coming up in April again which will probably result in another RTW ticket in J. Should I go for a *A one or go with DONE4 and have a run at the PG?

Air NZ may match status again anyway as I buy about 10 full fare econ tickets off them a year which otherwise would have gone to QF if not for the status match. I have like one beer in their lounge per flight... In saying that I should thank them properly for the status match by doing some long haul J with them.

As for PG, the thing is there is no one around me that needs it. Has anyone managed to sell a PG before? I don't think I can hit 2400 for which I'd gladly take 50k points.

I doubt I'll be attaining PG this year whether it be 2100 or 2400 SC's. I do intend to re-qualify WP, but SWMBO already has bookings to attain SG in her own right.

I was 'comped' NZ *GE in 2009, earned it this year (1500 SP's) and should re-qualify (1310 SP's) in May.

I've found for transpacific the AirNZ *GE "Standby" upgrades (that may be confirmed on booking) far more friendly than Qantas' weighted lottery.

Oh so that upgrade system works well does it? I heard J in long haul Air NZ is excellent as well.

You need to book a flight with R class and then make your upgrade request ... you can upgrade from any fare bucket including awards.

Current J 'bed configurations' are a little hard for me, but I've worked it out.
