Probably changed less than you think.

Just got back from a week on the GC last Thursday.

Cant really recommend activities without knowing more about your interests or age group. Are you asking about family activities or just for adults? If travelling with kids, how old etc.

Dining recommendations: Rossini Cafe (Italian- recommend booking) on the Gold Coast Highway near Jupiters. Alfresco Italian Restaurant on Elston Road next to Q1 Resort. Aussie China Kitchen on the ground floor of the Meriton Apartment Building near Jupiters which is very popular with the busloads of Chinese tourists who descend on the restaurant, eat and are back on the bus in 40 minutes. However, the food is really quite good if you give the tourist menu items a miss - crocodile, emu etc - they all taste like chicken anyway.

There's a number of good restaurants around Tedder Avenue which is the Main Beach end.

Gold Coast is such a vibrant City nowadays..
I'm sure you will find something of interest & satisfaction for any desire & budget.
Cheers,
jl :D

Goldcoastskydive.com.au They are on Kirra Beach. We went to the Gold Coast in March just to do the Beach landing from 14000ft. Unforgettable experience.
