After some 48 years of flying (as a passenger) with nothing better than NB for status, I've finally hit SG! Thanks to a DONE4 and a recent PER-MEL to give me a final qualifying leg on QF metal I've hit SG.

Now for the unlikely heights of WP:rolleyes:

congrats on finally reaching SG codash1099 - by completing the DONE4 shouldn't you be close to WP now unlesss your travels are split over two qualifying periods.

Close but no cigar! The DONE4 didn't maximise SC's and I'm to close to the end of my year to do much else.

Congrats on reaching SG codash1099! Pity about not making WP though given the DONE4!

48 years of trying for Gold??

The levels would have been Bakelite, Pewter and Nylon back then!

Congratulations there codash1099!

Thats some serious dedication to keep striving after 48 years! Great stuff!

A belated congratulations to codash1099!

It's amazing the information on AFF; I struggled to retain even SG until I came here. 11 months later I was an unlikely WP!

Not only could I not have done it without AFF, I doubt that I would even have considered attempting to reach these hallowed heights :o

When I joined AFF I was a NB after years of not flying QF.

After one year of getting the flying bug back, the next year I spent the next 12 months working up PS, then SG...then WP was just a thought.........

That's history now :). The title of the new story is called, "Requalification :?:"

Good on you Codash!I first flew TAA in 1969 and still a newbie!

I've been on AFF about 4 years (time flies!), and while I'm still QFF Bronze, I've managed a stint of OW Ruby (AA Gold), OW Sapphire (AA Plat), and OW Emerald (CX Diamond) in that time, none of which would have happened had I not joined here (and FT later on) and got the oil from all the highly knowledgable folk here on what I was able to do.
