My status is due to be assessed on the 25th October. On that day I will making a flight which will bring my points exactly up to the magic 400 status point number. Status points seem to be taking a lot longer then they use to to be posted to my account. Several days as opposed to 24 hours as they use to be. What avenue do I have to make sure those status points do get counted for my re-qualification.

Keep your boarding pass and if your status drops, phone/email the SG/WP helpline and ask for a retro count back because if the SCs were allocated on the correct date then you met what was required.

Ive done this before, I provided husbands boarding pass and flight details and his status was returned to WP.

That's something I've always wondered with this - the Velocity account page shows "Additional Status Credits (or sectors) required to requalify for (insert status level) by xyz date" and the Ts & Cs state:

22.5 Status Credits Required to Maintain a Membership Level

On each Review Date, if the total number of Status Credits earned and Eligible Sectors flown during the previous 365 days meets the criteria in clause 22.1.4 to maintain a Member’s current Membership Level, then they will maintain that Membership Level for the Benefit Period after the Review Date.

The "during the previous 365 days" seems to give the indication that the eligible SCs and sectors must be flown up to and including the day before the review date, so I was always curious as to whether this was the case or if SCs earned/sectors flown on the review date counted towards the current year or the following year? To be on the safe side, I've never flown on my review date LOL.

It is unlikely to be an issue - you get up to an additional month anyway during your "Revue Period". The travel would likely have posted by the end of the review period.

If your account states a re-qualification date then if the departure is on that date it will count to the current year.
