Hi All

I am wondering what my chances are of asking QF to be 'nice' and upgrade me to Platinum status? I am sitting on 1260 SC's and I have no flights scheduled until after my anniversary date (which is fast approaching). I've currently been a Gold QFF for about 3 years now - this year I've changed employers and now fly around Asia in business class (QF,CX,JL)... I'm just wondering how lenient QF may be?

many thanks

I don't fancy your chances. If you have points and a day to spare a JASA would get you there. There are a few threads and posts by markis10 on good value JASA's

Not being rude in any way but unless you know someone at QF you have no chance.

Or put another way I have never heard of anyone being comped a higher level status if they were not already on that status. eg you are Platinum and only earn 260 SCs for the year then you may be comped Platinum status for another year.

If I was you I would find the extra SCs if I really wanted to get Platinum.

Qantas are not known for handing out Platinum to those who have not actually qualified.

Remember that it only requires 1200 to requalify in the future.

+1 to what has already been said - suck it up and find yourself either a JASA or status run that'll help you make Platinum qualification before the end of your qualification year.

If you are motivated enough to ask then you can also do. We can help you though.

Where r u based?

Is money a problem?

Do you fly to TPE?

What is the anniversary date by which you need to acquire the additional SC's?
