Quick intro from a newby to this forum. My screen name of Reluctant_BT is fairly indicative - I travel a lot, mostly domestic economy - but am a bit of a home boy and would prefer not to travel so much. I love flying and planes, though I don't like small planes - anything smaller than a 737 is small! Am Founder and CEO of a business that until a couple of years ago would have been considered a startup. Paying business fares is not an option with our company size, but I use points exclusively for upgrades on late evening return flights to PER from MEL, SYD and BNE. As such I only every achieve QFF Gold each year.
Loving Qantas' focus on upgrading the business on its A330 fleet as mostly the PER-MEL/SYD/BNE flights are upgraded. A few years back was about to switch to VA when QF announced the upgrade programme and parity with VA offerings was in sight.
Would love some guidance on how to recognise which 330s have been upgraded while booking, rather than at seat selection stage. If anyone can point me to a thread that explains how to do that it would be much appreciated!
