I posted a couple weeks ago about a website I came across called The Points Team. They had a pretty well thought through article on there about the impact that RBA regulation would have on Rewards Points in 2016. I found it a fascinating read and have since been following the news online to see what it all means as I must admit I pretty much had no idea about it.
I just got an update email from them that they have posted a new article containing some excellent information about the impact of the changes.
The new article is called "Why it's still a good idea to get an Amex Proprietary Card".
It covers off on some really useful insight into the regulation and some of the changes that have already been made to Rewards products as a result.
I'm pretty glad I swapped my card over to an Amex proprietary.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think more Banks will reduce their Points earn rates? It's amazing the power the RBA has over the industry!
