I flew KA to PEK recently and had the misfortune of leaving behind my glasses in the side seat pocket (was the A330 with the standard regional J seating), where the seat pocket storing the magazines etc is in the side below the TV control. I thought there was a remote chance of these being found/returned, especially as I didn't get around to realizing they were lost until my return to HKG.

Anyway, I emailed the Marco Polo Club. They passed on my enquiry to Baggage Services directly, without taking the lazy option of just giving me a different email/phone number and telling me to do it myself. I quickly received a phone call from KA confirming that my glasses had been found, and would I come to collect them from PEK airport, or would I prefer for them to be brought back to HKG for collection from the KA office.

Collection is yet to take place, but I thought KA deserved credit for what is very efficient service.

Nice one - I have had similar good ground service from Cx after leaving a phone at the champagne lounge at HKG :)

Cabin crew contacted the lounge before we took off and I picked up the phone from lost and found on return a few days later.
