Mrs Poombear and I arrived back in Australia a few days ago on QF80 in J and I have to share how thoughtful the air crew was, in particular Leanne was! She found out we were celebrating an anniversary with this trip and presented us with a lovely card and bottle of champagne mid flight.

We are both NB so really quite unexpected.

Really fantastic experience amidst all the current woes going with the airline generally.

Is this a typical experience for regular J passengers?

To answer your question no it’s not a typical experience.

What a lovely surprise !!!
Happy Anniversary to you both.

It might be nice for the CSM to get feedback from customer care.
If you get a chance go online and submit a compliment to them.

QANTAS Customer Care Feedback

On international flights in the last 6 months I have in the most part very attentive and friendly crew. A CSM did say they have a lot of new staff training

MrsK and I have had a number of great experiences when flying in J. When going to Singapore for one of her significant birthdays (her first trip in J), they gave us a bottle of French bubbles and a card for her. On a trip to Perth last year, we mentioned we were heading down to Margaret River. The CSM gave me a list of wineries to check out, and a bottle of CabMerlot

When on my many work trips to the UK and elsewhere in Y, the CSM has always come back to say hello to me as Plat, and they've arranged to have nice extras dropped off. I got to know one, Michael, very well as we bumped into each other on four UK bound flights.

On each occassion I have left positive feedback on the Qantas website, so it gets recognised.
