Hi everyone, I'm a long time lurker who finally got around to joining whilst trying to sort logistics of a trip to San Diego for a conference next month. Sadly, all conference-related travel is self-funded, so currently trying to work out the least painful flights PER-SAN for what is a 6-day trip... UA? QF? NZ? ARGH!

Thanks for all the advice/information gleaned from other threads - it really just makes me want a job where someone else pays for my travel!

drmikki's question about her trip cam be answered here.

Hi drmikki,

Welcome to AFF.

You'll see I have directed people with help to your other thread with help in an effort to avoid confusion.

No probs - thanks for the sex change BTW  (Don't worry, as a female in a male-dominated area I get used to being "Mr" by default!)
