I'm a novice frequent flyer who want's to turn things around over the coming months/years and travel abit more to different parts of Australia and the world for Work & Fun! In my younger years my family did quite abit of travelling all down the East Coast of Australia and different cities (Hong Kong/London/Los Angles/New Zealand) while we lived in Papua New Guinea (Good old Air Niugini, back in the day when QF actually flew into POM.... - There had to be afew insensitive for our family to live there...an adventure in itself!) It was there that my love for travelling & flying began; Before doing some volunteer work in Perth over the last 14 months, and having a job before then which gave me some sort of cash flow, I did abit of basic BNE->SYD/MEL/ADL weekend trips to dip my toes in the water in flying by myself and trying to figure out frequent flyer programs in-depth. I left for Perth with Velocity/Virgin Australia just starting with the roll-out of the rebrand/rebuild of routes...with today's announcement of QF/EK Allience, I may have to do abit more research than I thought before I pick a side (Atleast in the short-term...)
I'm hoping to have my old job back soon and start once more flying all over The Tasman for weekend adventures with friends... and eventually as time/cash permits go Europe/USA to see others - Either way, I hope I can learn abit more here and also contribute some insights along the way...
