Hi everyone,
I've often passed through this forum space for many years and did not decide to make an account until just recently after hearing about exciting travel hacks podcasts available to Americans. This sounded like such an interesting concept I thought I might give it a try in Australia! I know that there are some differences in credit cards in Australia compared to the USA (which in turn, affects the earning potential) but I'm really excited to dive into this and learn what our Aussie credit cards have on offer which may rival (or be on par) to what the USA credit cards have on offer
As for many newbies out there, I have some questions I have been dying to ask so probably looking for some collective wisdom from the AFF community:
- Is there an Australian credit card company that will deny your credit card application if you have opened too many ? (backstory/context: I've heard that the Chase Sapphire card deny's applications if you have opened 5 or more credit cards in the last 2 years so wondering if theres any limitations to this in Australia. I'm looking to sign up to a credit card which earns Qantas points to get myself started)
-Which is the most cost-effective points redemption: Buying a business flight with points or buying a flight upgrade with points (i.e from economy to business)?
If you've read up to this point, thank you so much for taking your time to read my post and I hope to share my wisdom/finds with the rest of the community!
