I have decided to post a message and become an active Australian Frequent Flyer member. Currently trying to work out the best way to plan a Round The World trip from Brisbane to Africa, Europe and South America using my accumulated Qantas Frequent Flyer points.

Welcome to AFF purma. There is at least one dedicated thread on that topic, here, but a bunch of other info if you have a bit of a trawl. But come back and ask questions too.

Welcome! The oneworld award is definitely what you are after. The thread that RooFlyer linked to holds the answers :)

Welcome aboard!

You've certainly come to the right place and I hope we get to hear about your trip.

Welcome, there is much to take in here and you'll need a decent bottle of your favourite and many hours !

Matt

Is this trip just for yourself and in which class were you hoping to fly ? Welcome aboard

Belated welcome to AFF purma!

Planning can be half the fun.

Welcome Purma, I'm too looking into a RTW trip (once I have enough points) and that thread is great, the information can be overwhelming but some of the regulars in that discussion know their stuff! I've read South America <> Aus award availability can be tricky to get but there are ways to manage that.

Good luck!

Craven. Planning the trip for my wife and me. Currently have enough QFF points for two economy class RTW flights. An alternate plan is to buy two economy RTW tickets and upgrade to premium economy or business class. Martin.

Others will know for sure but I think you can only use QFF points to upgrade on the Qantas legs. You will certainly enjoy the upgrades if you are successful. Good luck.

That is correct. QFF points can only upgrade Qantas flights. You can plan the Oneworld award so that the 3 longest legs are Qantas flights which leaves one long sector say JFK-LHR on another carrier.
